Bright colours return to the top 10 list for spring ’09 as designers add bright pops into their collections. Translucent and neutral tones add balance to this spring’s palette.

Colours evolve from season to season and spring ’09 is no exception. You are seeing softer variations of last fall. For example last fall’s blue has moved to palace blue for spring which is a flattering colour for almost everyone. Purple has softened considerably to lavender. Overall there is fruity feel to the colours with lemon and citrus lime, papaya and mango. Yellow continues to be very strong with an zesty super lemon. Pink in all shades continues to be a favourite, from fuchsia to rose.
