Spring 2010 Colours

Spring ColoursSpring 2010 colours are all about soft feminine hues which are warm, tranquil and calming, fresh vibrant tones, and soft neutrals which are accessible for seasons to come.

Turquoise is a soothing hue from the blue-green family. This cool and tropical colour evokes memories of tropical beaches and cool clear waters.

Amparo Blue is a twist on navy. With more warmth than the typical spring navy, this particular shade of blue is extremely appealing because it’s a livelier, brighter hue; a tone away from Fall 2009′s Teal/Majolica Blue.

Violet a cross between lavender and purple is a romantic, feminine hue. This intriguing purplish hue is a distinctive addition to any wardrobe.

Aurora is a deep yet soft yellow with a slightly greenish hue. Yellow has made its mark on fashion and spring will further this trend. This gleaming colour is a more wearable yellow than some of the brighter hues.

Fusion Coral is a warm pinky, peachy orange. This colour is very wearable and looks great on just about any skin tone.

Tomato Puree is this season’s classic red. This tone works well with all neutrals or can be teamed with turquoise for a retro look.

Pink Champagne is a combination of ivory and beige which provides a subtle hint of warm colour. The combination of Pink Champagne, Tomato Puree and Amparo Blue is a refreshing take on the classic springtime combination of red, white and blue.

Tuscany a warm pinkish beige that provides the perfect backdrop and works well as a base with accents like Fusion Coral or Violet.

Dried Herb a gray-green neutral base similar to sage. A softer tone than khaki but just as versatile. Works well with all other colours in the spring palette.

Eucalyptus is a soft gray. Choose this neutral and add brightly coloured accessories for that dramatic pop of colour.
