The Fendi Spy bag was one of the first It-Bags. It was created by Silvia Fenturini Fendi and released in 2005 on the heels of its it-bag predecessor, the Chloe Paddington. The Fendi Spy was the it-bag that everyone wanted. The unique bohemian design included a hidden coin purse, beautifully braided handles and a fold-over flap closure. Not quite a satchel or hobo, it was a shape all of its own.
Fendi consistently produces some of the world’s most coveted “it-bags,” including the “baguette” which debuted in the nineties and remains a hot commodity. The double-F logo was created by Karl Lagerfeld in the sixties.
This authentic Fendi Spy bag is not quite a satchel or hobo, it has a shape all of its own. The unique design includes dual rolled woven handles, a fold-over flap with flip-lock closure and light gold-tone hardware. The Spy bag features the signature Spy snap flap closure with the hidden coin purse. Made of a light-weight denim fabric and PVC coated leather trim and handles. The interior details the signature Zucca double-F lining and a hologram tag for authenticity. There is also a leather tag embossed with the bag’s serial number 2373-8BR511-VWR-078. From the 2007 Collection. No dust bag. Made in Italy. Retails $1940 USD. Coveted Fendi Spy bag: https://www.purseblog.com/throwback-thursday/a-look-back-at-fendi-spy-bag/
