Judith Leiber is a pioneer in the world of luxury bags having started her company in 1963. Dubbed as ‘The Bag Lady of Park Avenue’, her designer bags are famous for being carried around by some of the world’s most noted celebrities. With decades of experience in quality craftsmanship, combined with a keen attention to detail, Judith Leiber’s bags and minaudieres are artistically elegant. Judith Leiber’s minaudieres have been featured in some of the biggest museums in the world and in blockbuster films.
No two Judith Leiber bags are alike, each creation is a statement piece. Since the beginning, some 5000 bag styles later, Leiber has approached evening bags – jeweled, embellished, sculpted or classically traditional – with the same attention to detail and construction as the couturiers do clothes. Her bags have been carried by First Ladies and Hollywood royalty alike, and are on permanent display in the world’s finest museums. All bags were handmade in New York’s fashion district until 2003. New owners have moved manufacturing outside the United States.
